Lip Augmentation vs. Lip Fillers

Lip Augmentation vs. Lip Fillers

Dermal Fillers, Injectables

Lip Augmentation vs. Lip Fillers

Plump, full lips give you a wow factor that is hotter than ever these days. But what’s the best way to achieve this sexy, beautiful look? Lip fillers or lip augmentation? Let’s take a look at both treatments.

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers are a simple, easy treatment that many women use to plump their lips. Lip fillers are safe, extremely effective and can provide a full, supple appearance. Dermal fillers are carefully and expertly injected into several points of the lips, then gently massaged in to provide smooth plumpness or a dramatic boost. The filler can also be injected around the lips to smooth away wrinkles.

This effective treatment provides outstanding results but only takes about twenty minutes, and there’s no downtime.

Which fillers are used?

Juvederm Ultra XC and Juvederm Volbella XC

Juvederm Ultra XC and Volbella XC are designed to address the lips and the area around the mouth. Juvederm fillers have a gel-like consistency and retain water which is what helps the lips appear more full and supple. They can also be used to reshape the contours of the lips or define the cupid’s bow, and correct asymmetry.

Restylane and Restylane Silk

Similar to Juvederm, Restylane fillers restore moisture, volume and elasticity to the lips. In addition to plumping the lips, Restylane Silk is designed especially to rejuvenate the area around the mouth and lips by smoothing away lines.

Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation is a more permanent procedure that requires surgery to either insert implants or graft fat to the lips.

For a fat graft, the fat is harvested by liposuction from any area of the body that has excess fat. The fat is purified, then precisely injected into the lips to achieve a full, beautiful smile. The results are dramatic and very long lasting.

For lip augmentation with implants, an incision is made in each corner of the mouth, and the implants are carefully placed. The incisions are closed carefully with absorbable sutures to avoid any scarring. The lips appear full, natural-looking and beautiful. The results may last for decades.

Which is the better option–fillers or lip augmentation?

Achieving fuller, sexier lips and a gorgeous smile can be achieved with either method, but the decision about which is best for you depends on your goals and what you’re comfortable with.

Lip fillers provide instant results, very short recovery time, low risks and a less expensive option. However, they need repeat treatments. Meanwhile, lip augmentation procedures provide dramatic, very long-lasting results, but they have higher risks, longer recovery time, and they cost more.

Whichever you choose, our specialists will provide for you at Flawless Aesthetic Center. During your consultation, we will explain each option in detail to help you decide which treatment is best for you, and produce your outstanding results!
